first language是第一语言 native是母语 两者指的其实是一个东西

分别是 官方语言、民族语言、第一语言、第二语言。
中华人民共和国的官方语言是汉语普通话，其他的藏语、苗语、广东话都不是官方语言，因为中文的复杂性，英语里用mandarin表示。 很多欧洲的国家是有多种官方语言的，以梵蒂冈为例，官方是意大利语和拉丁语，这两种属于不同民族的语言，民间则是德语、英语、荷兰语等等多民族语言都用的，可能一家人说四五种语言。在这个国家出生的小孩以母亲的语言作为母语，所以不像大多数中国人，说汉语母语肯定是第一语言，他们也有一开始就学习爷爷的语言的，这个就是他的第一语言。 但是在梵蒂冈混只会一种语言怎么行呢，那么就还得多学其他的语言，就是第二语言。
