关于situation的定语从句
必须是表示抽象的地点的,你基本上已经都说完了,还有stage,最常考的就是situation
不对
this is the situation which I hate.
这是我讨厌看到的局面。
这句是可以的，这里situation做从句的宾语所以说用which(that也可以，省略也可以)
问题的关键还是看situation做什么成分，地点状语where宾语which、that、省略都可以。
如果题目改成如下：
Shy people often avoid situations ______ close contact with other people is needed.
A. that B. what C. when D. where
这样的话，就选D.了。是状语从句。
再如，
I still remember the scene____two policemen were chasing after a thief.
A. that B. what C. when D. where
选D。原因应该明白了吧？
这一题选择A项，学生们见到situation就会觉得选where，其实我们要看后面的定语从句缺少什么成分，根据后面来看定语从句明显缺少主语，那我们就只能选取that或者which了。若后面的从句不缺少成分我们则可以加地点状语用where相当于in which。
