ahead of time 与 in advance的区别

ahead of time这里有一个时间点，“在这个时间点之前”，比如俩人说好了八点见面，为了保险起见，一个会说：I'll phone you ahead of time to inform you. 我会提前给你电话提醒你的。
ahead of schedule 是比计划表或者安排表提前，具体可能计划好了施工进度，但是我们赶在了工期之前，可用：We finished the project ahead of schedule.
相比之下，后两者多用在比较具体的情形当中。第一个适用于大多数情况！
一、含义不同
1、ahead of time 表示在原定时间以前，提前，提早。
2、in advance 指预先、提前。
二、强调的重点不同
1、ahead of time 用于修饰时间上，强调时间提前。如：
You should arrive there ahead of time.
你应该提前到那里。
2、in advance 强调在某事发生前，偏向于指事情。 如：
We must finish it in advance (of he come).
我们必须在他到来之前完成。
三、表示的时间范围不同
1、ahead of time更强调一个时间点，即在这个时间点之前完成，强调“提前”。
I try to get to the airport well ahead of time, so that I don't miss my flight.
我尽量提前到机场，以便我不会误了航班。
2、in advance 表示“预先”则适用时间范围更广。如：
Before I go on a holiday, I usually book my accomodation in advance.
