There are so many sports we can play these days, but among them, I like to play basketball best. I learnt to play it when I was 11 years old.
Playing basketball can bring me some good friends, they have something in common with me, they always ask me to play it with them; And we can always share our skills together. We learnt what teamwork is from playing basketball. Sometimes we watch NBA games together, my favourite NBA star is Yao Ming, he is very modest, too.
We usually play basketball after school and on the weekends as well. I feel very happy when I pass my ball to my pals. We always cheer when we win the games.
I hope I can play basketball as well as Yao Ming someday in the future.

The famous person I want to talk about is Yaoming, who is a very famous and successful basketball player. Now he lives in Houston, but his hometown is Shanghai, China.
He’s famous for his height. He’s very tall and strong.He’s not exactly/actually the handsome type, but he has very nice personalities.
His status in NBA is central. He’s talented and hard working. / He works very hard and has talented skills.He also behave very modesty and calmly before the public He shows the perseverance before succeed.
He’s my role model/hero. He teaches me to be more confident.
He becomes a faith that I believe in.

Everytime I see Liu Xiang running in the track, shouting wildly after the races, I find myself is full of passion in my heart. Especially, the moment when he gets the first prize on the stage,I can't help applauding for his excellent performance. I am deeply moved by his spirit and his great ambitions. The sports spirit of Liu Xiang also inspires me a lot in my life and study. As a young man, Liu Xiang is the best example of making every effort to develop his sport career and break so many records, though he has got many medals now.I think this spirit is worth to learned by all of us. With this ambition, we could defeat any difficulties in our lives and works. Affected by his restless soul, I will never give up and insist my ideals. As one of his fans, I hope that Liu Xiang could do well in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and win more gold medals for our country. I support him forever in my heart. Deng Yaping is my favorite sports star.She was a great Chinese ping pong ball athlete.
