If I said I had a friend, I would be lying. Tom, on the other hand, is just a figment of my imagination out of my desperation for a sense of belonging and friendship. My imaginary friend, Tom, who is always there when I'm feeling lonely, is tall and strong with bleach blonde hair like a playboy. The cool guy (unlike me, by the way, because I'm a social outcast), has lines of brown so artfully interwoven in his hair that it must have been dyed professionally. Like many cool guys in my school, he is an outstanding football (maybe American football, I haven't decided) player, and he plays with my other imaginary frieds every Friday afternoon. Tom exercises a lot and leads a healthy lifestyle, but I just play video games and surf the web all day. Tom lives in China and will remain my best friend until I die.
Some students think that they can learn English well if they remember the grammar rules and learn by heart long lists of words.But I don’t quite agree with them.I don’t think it enough only to learn rules from a grammar book or remember as many words as we can.We must learn by listening,speaking,reading and writing.We should practice speaking English both in and out of class,and reading and listening whenever possible.Besides,it is also helpful to keep diaries and write letters or short stories in English.Only in this way can we learn English well.
How to learn Englishi wellIn the morden society, English plays an important role. English is widely used in different coutries. It is necessary for us to learn english well.Some students think , if we can remember all the garmmar and words list,then we can learn english very well. However, I don't think it is a good way to learn english. In my opinon, we should practice English everyday. We can listen to the English tapes and read English books.And we can use English to talk with classmates or foreigners. At last, we can write some English dairies and some short letters to learn English very well. That is my own opinon to learn English very well. If you do not know the 26 alphabets, you will not know how to speak; if you got less vocabulary, you will not able to tell somebody what do you mean; and if your pronounciation is not very good, then other people will not know what you are saying. But the most important part is your attitude. If you want to learning English well, then why not trying to complete these four tasks?
