关于upon on over above的区别~
on 指在某物之上，而且两相接触。
The lamp stood on the table
这盏灯放在桌上
There are various kinds of books on the shelf
书架上放着各种各样的书
above 含示一物在另一物之上，但无接触，在这个局限的意义上，over； above可以换用。
The lamp is hanging adove (over) the table
灯挂在桌子的上方
Can you see the helicopter above (over) the palace?
你能看见宫殿上空的直升飞机吗？
upon 和 on 词意相同，也是在。。。之上而且两相接触，在一般情况下，upon 与 on 可互换使用，但在某些习惯用法中不能互换，如：once upon a time
He set the tray upon the table.
他把盘子放在桌上。
The water splashed out of the tub upon the floor.
水从缸里飞溅出来，落在地板上。
over表示垂直的正上方，而above表示上方，可以是斜上方，不一定是正上方
